Elon Musk's Starlink is Finally in India! But Did You Know Hrithik Roshan Has a Connection to It?

Elon Musk's satellite internet venture, Starlink Satellite Communications Private Limited, has entered Mumbai's real estate scene with a notable lease deal.

The company has rented a 1,294 sq ft office space in Chandivali for five years, valued at ₹2.33 crore, according to property registration details obtained by Propstack.

Starlink Leases Space in Chandivali's Boomerang Building

The new Starlink office is located on the ground floor of the Boomerang building in Chandivali, Mumbai. As per documents, the property covers a carpet area of 1,294 sq ft and belongs to owner Nikunj Sheth. The registration took place on October 14, 2025, with a stamp duty of ₹66,500 and a registration fee of ₹1,000.

Under the agreement, Starlink will pay a monthly rent of ₹3.52 lakh, which will increase by 5% annually. The company has also deposited ₹31.7 lakh as a security deposit. In addition, the firm will bear common area maintenance (CAM) charges amounting to ₹15.79 lakh over five years and will have access to one parking space.

Starlink Satellite Communications Pvt Ltd could not be reached for a comment regarding the deal.

Hrithik Roshan's Office Investments in the Same Complex

Interestingly, the same Boomerang building houses office spaces owned by Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and his father Rakesh Roshan. Through their venture HRX Digitech LLP, the duo purchased three office units worth ₹31 crore in July 2025, according to records accessed by Propstack.

These offices are located on the first floor of the building, covering a total of 13,546 sq ft, with the sale registered on July 9, 2025.

The Roshans had also made a similar investment earlier - in September 2024, their company acquired five office units on the fifth floor of the same property for ₹37.75 crore, spanning 17,389 sq ft of carpet area. They paid a stamp duty of ₹2.26 crore and a registration fee of ₹30,000 for the transaction.

Starlink's Expansion Plans in India

Starlink is rapidly scaling up its presence in India as it prepares to launch its satellite internet services in the country. According to media reports, the company is planning to set up nine gateway earth stations across major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Noida, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Lucknow.

The firm has also applied for 600 Gbps satellite capacity under its Gen 1 constellation, with provisional spectrum allocation for security compliance demonstrations.
