Gujarat: 5 killed, 17 injured as vehicle hits road divider
Surat, May 24: Five persons, including three children, were killed and 17 others injured when the pick-up van they were travelling in, hit a road divider on National Highway number eight near Navsari today.
"The pick-up van was going to Surat from Daman. The driver lost control over the vehicle and hit the road divider, killing three children under ten years of age and two adults," Navsari Superintendent of Police M S Bharada said.

All the passengers were from the same village in Surat district and were returning after holidaying in Daman, he said. The injured were taken to government hospitals in Navsari and Gandevi, Bharada said, ad
ding, the deceased are yet to be identified and investigation is on.
