Security stepped up, separatists call for shutdown
Srinagar, Feb 15: Authorities today imposed restrictions in parts of the city following a strike call by separatists against the killing of two civilians allegedly in firing by security forces during a violent protest yesterday.
Shops and other business establishments remained closed due to the call given by separatists groups including both factions of Hurriyat Conference.
The two youths, including a girl, were killed and several others injured as protesters clashed with police in Pulwama yesterday.
