Omar Abdullah participates in 'Swachh Bharat' campaign, earns PM's praise

Srinagar, Oct 24: After spending Diwali with soldiers at the Siachen Glacier and meeting people affected by the floods,

Modi on Thursday praised Abdullah for taking up the broom and participating in the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign in Srinagar.

Modi tweeted:

Omar Abdullah had joined the Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Thursday and had cleaned flood affected areas in Srinagar. Omar was nominated by Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who took part in the Swachh Bharat campaign earlier this month.

Omar even thanked and tweeted:

After he took up the broom, Omar tweeted:

Modi was in Jammu and Kashmir to interact with the soldiers and the people affected by the recent floods. He said that he would celebrate Diwali with the people here.
