J&K: Boy killed, 4 others injured in Shopian blast
Srinagar, July 11: A minor boy was killed while as four others sustained injuries in a blast at south Kashmir's Shopian district on Wednesday.
The 11-years-old has been identified as Salik Khurshid, son of Khurshid Ahmad, a resident of Meemander Shopian.
Reports said that a group minors where fiddling with an object which exploded resulting in injuries to five.
One of the injured boys later succumbed to his injuries while four others were referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
SSP Shopian Sandeep Chaudhary said that he have deputed SHO to the incident site where this has happened to verify the cause of the blast. (GNS).
On Tuesday, 50 persons were injured after security forces opened fire on the protesters at Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. The clash took place near the encounter site where two terrorists were killed and a security personnel was injured.
