Why Sania Mirza Decided To Divorce Shoaib Malik? Pakistan Journalist Makes Sensational Claims

A senior journalist from Pakistan has opened up on the reason behind Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza's decision to end her marriage with ex-cricketer Shoaib Malik.

In a podcast on Samaa TV, journalist Naeem Hanif has made sensational claims where he has claimed Malik's secret affair with Sana Javed led to his divorce with Sania Mirza.

Hanif revealed that the first encounter between Mailk and Javed occurred on the set of a reality show. Interestingly, whenever Shoaib received invitations for TV appearances, the cricketer insisted on having Sana involved, he added.

Despite both being happy in their marriages, Malik and Javed were attracted to each other, Naeem Hanif claimed. When Sania Mirza uncovered the secret affair, she informed to Shoaib Malik's family.

In response, Shoaib Malik's family travelled to Dubai, hoping to persuade the couple to reconsider and strive for reconciliation. Despite their concerted efforts, Shoaib and Sania remained uninterested in reviving the relationship, ultimately opting for a divorce.

The seasoned Pakistan journalist has claimed that Imran Zafar, the husband of Shoaib Malik's elder sister, made sincere mediation attempts to help the cricketer and the couple understand, but unfortunately, his endeavours proved unsuccessful. Notably, the entire Malik family has extended their support to Sania Mirza. As a result, the family members of Malik boycotted his third marriage.

Shoiab had first married Ayesha Siddiqui and ended his 8-year marriage after falling in love with Sania.

Sania and Shoaib tied the knot in 2010 and they were blessed with Izaan in 2018.

Speaking to PTI, Sania's father Imran Mirza said, "it was a 'khula'", which refers to the right of a Muslim woman to unilaterally divorce her husband. On the other hand, Sania has confirmed that they took divorce a few months ago.

On the other hand, Sana Javed had earlier married to singer Umair Jaiswal in 2020 in a simple ceremony.
