Taking to Instagram, a small note was shared by Virat Kohli in which the couple wrote, "With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika's little brother into this world!" Further, they wrote, "We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude. Virat & Anushka"

Kohli's England Test Exit Ends 13-Year Streak

Notably, Virat Kohli, the star batter of Team India, has withdrawn from the remaining matches of the Test series against England due to personal reasons. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed Kohli's absence and announced the squad for the remaining three Tests of the series.

The series is currently tied at 1-1 following India's victory in the second match in Visakhapatnam. BCCI released a statement respecting and supporting Kohli's decision, stating he will remain unavailable for selection due to personal reasons.

Kohli, who is attending urgent family matters, will miss an entire home series for the first time in his career. Since making his debut in 2011, Kohli has been a fixture in every home Test series, showcasing his enduring presence in Test cricket.

Despite missing matches, Kohli's impressive record of nearly 9,000 runs in 113 tests highlights his significance as a stalwart of the format. As captain, Kohli led India to historic achievements, including their first-ever Test series victory in Australia and maintaining the top-ranked team position for 42 consecutive months.

AB de Villiers Was Not Wrong

The suspense surrounding Virat Kohli's absence was ended by AB de Villiers when he revealed on his YouTube channel that the India star is with his family because he and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child, on February 9.

However, five days after the revelation, a striking U-turn on his statement was made by de Villiers, admitting that his information was incorrect and acknowledging that he 'made a big mistake.' But now, with the latest post by the couple Virushka has proved that after all de Villiers was not wrong.

The correction was made by de Villiers on the sidelines of the SA20, where he was part of various media interactions. The fact that the former South Africa captain made such an erroneous comment of magnitude is unexpected.

Kohli and de Villiers are extremely close; Virat was one of the first people ABD informed about his retirement - he sent VK a voice note. That the information is now deemed false by De Villiers adds a whole new layer of mystery around Kohli's continued absence.
