Miami, Mar 19 - Indian tennis sensation Sumit Nagal encountered a setback in his debut at the Miami Open, failing to secure a spot in the main draw following a defeat in the final qualifying round. Nagal, who had previously shown promise by entering the world's top-100 rankings last month, was bested by Hong Kong's Coleman Wong with scores of 6-3, 1-6, 5-7 on Tuesday.

Despite taking an early lead by clinching the first set, Nagal could not maintain his momentum against the 19-year-old Wong, who is also making his first appearance at the Miami Open.
