Olympian Neeraj Chopra Names This Actor To Play Lead Role In His Biopic

Olympian Neeraj Chopra medalist, recently shared his thoughts on who should portray him in a biopic. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Neeraj expressed his preference for Randeep Hooda over other popular actors like Ranveer Singh or Ranbir Kapoor. Neeraj believes Randeep would excel in the role due to his acting skills and Haryana roots. He emphasised the importance of accurately portraying the local language.

Earlier, many films were made athletes like Irrfan Khan's "Paan Singh Tomar" and Farhan Akhtar's "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", Parineeti Chopra's "I am Sania Nehwal" and the recent, Kartik Aaryan starrer "Chandu Champion".

Randeep Hooda might be an ideal choice for Neeraj's biopic. The actor has experience in biographical dramas like "Sarbjit" and "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar." His connection to Neeraj's hometown could help him capture the dialect authentically. Neeraj also mentioned he wants his biopic made only after achieving all possible success for India.

The javelin star is currently focused on preparing for the 2025 Tokyo World Championships. After finishing second at the Diamond League finale in Brussels, he's back home training hard. Neeraj threw 87.86m there, narrowly missing first place by just 0.01m to Anderson Peters' mark.

Neeraj's season-best throw of 89.49m came at the Lausanne Diamond League, marking his second-best career performance. Despite missing out on first place in Brussels, he remains determined to improve and bring more glory to India.
