Jake Paul defeated the legendary Mike Tyson via unanimous decision on Friday, 15 November, in the main event of a blockbuster Netflix event held in Dallas, Texas. Despite losing the first two rounds, Paul staged an impressive comeback to overcome "Iron Mike."

This bout marked Tyson's return to the ring after a 19-year hiatus, while Paul entered the fight with a 10-1 record.

Initially scheduled for June, the match had been postponed due to Tyson suffering from an ulcer flare-up. Tensions were high ahead of the event, with Tyson slapping Paul during the weigh-in and boldly stating he wouldn't lose.

On fight night, both men confidently predicted victory, with Paul promising a knockout and Tyson vowing a "vicious win."

How the Fight Unfolded

The entrances of both fighters mirrored their distinct personalities. Jake Paul embraced his flamboyant persona, while Mike Tyson opted for a subdued walk to the ring, entering alone.

The Texas crowd made their allegiances clear, heavily booing Paul while cheering enthusiastically for Tyson.

Tyson started strong, dominating the first round and pinning Paul on the ropes. He landed some early punches, earning a 10-9 advantage.

The second round saw a cautious exchange as Paul kept his guard low, attempting to draw Tyson into an open fight. Tyson claimed the round with another 10-9 scoreline.

Paul found his rhythm in the third round, taking control with a series of jabs that left Tyson struggling on the ropes. The judges awarded Paul the round 10-9, narrowing the score to 29-28 in Tyson's favour going into the fourth.

As the fight progressed, Tyson's mobility began to wane. Paul capitalised on this in the fourth round, levelling the score. The fifth round saw Tyson briefly shake Paul with a left hook, but Paul responded with effective body shots, pulling ahead 48-47.

By the sixth round, Paul had seized control, dictating the fight as Tyson grew visibly fatigued. Heading into the final round with a 58-56 lead, Paul maintained his momentum, landing decisive shots on an exhausted Tyson. The fight concluded with a show of mutual respect between the two.

Reports suggest Paul will earn $40 million from the event, while Tyson is set to pocket $20 million.
