Messi expressed his excitement about returning to India on Instagram, describing it as a "very special country." He fondly recalled his previous visit in 2011 when he played a friendly match in Kolkata that left fans in awe. Unlike his past visit focused on competitive games, this tour aims to provide fans with an immersive experience combining football and entertainment.

Messi's Schedule in India

The tour kicks off on December 13 at Kolkata's Salt Lake Stadium with the GOAT Concert and GOAT Cup. Messi will play alongside Indian sports icons like Sourav Ganguly, Bhaichung Bhutia, and Leander Paes in an exhibition match. The event runs from noon to 1:30 PM, followed by fan interactions later that evening.

Later on December 13, Messi will head to Ahmedabad for an exclusive gala hosted by the Adani Foundation. This private event will focus on youth development and sports education, attracting attendees from business and charity sectors.

On December 14, the action shifts to Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Here, Messi will showcase his skills in the Padel GOAT Cup alongside football masterclasses and food festivals. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, MS Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar are expected to join the festivities starting at 5:30 PM.

The final day of the tour is scheduled for December 15 in New Delhi. Messi is anticipated to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss football and youth development initiatives. The concluding event at Arun Jaitley Stadium at 2:15 PM may feature cricket stars Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill.
