Virat Kohli's Wicket Is Biggest Dismissal In Test Cricket: New Zealand's Glenn Phillips

After registering a thumping victory against Team India in the Bengaluru test, New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips lauded ace Indian batter Virat Kohli. Phillip, who dismissed Virat Kohli in both the innings, said getting Virat Kohli's wicket is a special milestone. He described Virat Kohli's dismissal as "one of the biggest wickets in Test cricket."

Virat Kohli scored a duck in the first inning and 70 runs in the second inning before getting out on the last ball of the Day 3 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Before getting back to the pavilion, he set a crucial 136-run partnership with centurion Sarfaraz Khan.

"Yeah, he is probably one of the biggest wickets in Test cricket going around at the moment. To be able, to produce something special on the last ball of the day, was quite incredible," Phillips added.

New Zealand's Historic Win

Reflecting on New Zealand's victory in the first Test, Phillips expressed his delight over their eight-wicket win against India. This triumph marked New Zealand's first Test win in India since 1988, ending a 36-year drought. "It is absolutely phenomenal," he remarked, acknowledging past attempts by New Zealand teams that fell short.

The Blackcaps' success was significant as previous New Zealand teams had struggled to secure a win in India for decades. Phillips highlighted how special it was for them to achieve this milestone after so many years of trying and failing.

India vs New Zealand Second Test

To avenge the first test defeat, Rohit Sharma and men will eye to bounce back in the second Test of the three-match series starting Thursday, October 24 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The team will be looking to recover from their loss and level the series against New Zealand.

It is also expected that coach Gautam Gambhir and skipper Rohit Sharma may make some changes in the playing XI.
