Virat Kohli Presents T-Shirt To Dean Elgar On His Farewell Signed By Team India
With the end of India's tour to South Africa, South Africa's captain for the Cape Town Test, Dean Elgar bid adieu to the sport. The 36-year-old left-handed batsman represented South Africa in 85 test matches and notched over five thousand runs. Though, the Proteas faced a defeat in Elgar's last match, but the cricketer was lauded by fans and even his counterparts from India.
After the match, India's stand in captain, Virat Kohli, walked to Dean Elgar to present him a t-shirt signed by Team India as a gesture of sportsmanship. Elgar was greeted by warm hugs from Indian players when he stepped in and went out of the ground during his last match.

In South Africa's first inning, Virat Kohli asked his team not to celebrate when Elgar got out. Instead, the cricketer paid him a bow-down tribute for serving the game. Elgar was dismissed by pacer Mukesh Kumar in the 11th over of South Africa's second innings.

Elgar served his national side for almost 11 years. He has now joined the league of Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, and Quinton de Kock, who were stars for their country.
It was a successful tour for India as the young team won the ODI series and leveled the T20 series. The red ball series also ended as a tie after both sides won one game each. Notably, it was the first time in Indian cricket's history that three captains led the team in all three different formats.
