Viral Video From Kapil Sharma Show Features Gautam Gambhir, Rishabh Pant Taking A Dig At Rohit Sharma

Amidst the ongoing India vs England Test series, a video clip from a Netflix broadcast of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' featuring Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Gautam Gambhir has gained attention.

In the viral clip, Kapil Sharma humorously asks the cricketers about a player who acts like a bossy elder sister-in-law in the team. Rishabh Pant responds by naming Rohit Sharma as that figure. Gautam Gambhir adds with a smile, "Maine kaha, Rohit ka naam lele, abb toh retire ho gaya," suggesting that since Rohit has retired, it's safe to mention his name.

Team Bonding Initiatives

Before the second Test against England at Edgbaston, captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir revived an old tradition. This practice was absent during India's tour of Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. As reported by NDTV, Gill organized a team dinner on Sunday for the entire squad to foster camaraderie among the newcomers.

This initiative is seen as a positive step since no such activity took place under Rohit Sharma's leadership in Australia. The lack of unity was evident when India lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Head coach Gambhir reportedly expressed dissatisfaction over the team's division into cliques.

Reviving Old Traditions

With Shubman Gill as captain and Gautam Gambhir as coach, efforts are being made to restore team spirit by reintroducing past customs. This move aims to break away from previous trends and ensure better cohesion within the group.

The emphasis on team bonding activities highlights their importance in maintaining unity and morale among players. Such initiatives can significantly impact performance on the field by fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork.
