Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli have been enjoying a quiet life in London since their move in 2024, stepping away from the constant glare of fame in India. While they frequently return for work commitments, the real reason behind their relocation has now come to light.

In a recent podcast episode, Dr. Sriram Nene, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit's husband, spoke with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia about the challenges of fame. During their conversation, Dr. Nene shared insights from a discussion he had with Anushka, revealing why the couple chose to settle abroad.

"I'll tell you something, and this is what you learn, they all put their pants on one leg at a time. We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting. They were thinking about moving to London because they can't enjoy their success (here). And we appreciate what they go through, because anything they do attracts attention. We almost become isolated."

He further explained that Anushka and Virat wanted a more private environment to raise their children, away from the relentless public scrutiny. "I get along with everyone; I'm bindaas. But even there, it becomes challenging. There's always a selfie moment. Not in a bad way, but there comes a time when it becomes intrusive, when you're at dinner or lunch, and you have to be polite about it. For my wife, it becomes an issue. But (Anushka and Virat) are lovely people, and they just want to raise their kids normally," he added.

Anushka and Virat, who met in 2013 during a commercial shoot, married in a private ceremony in Italy in 2017. They welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021, and their son, Akaay, in February 2024. Their decision to move reflects their desire for a balanced, peaceful family life away from the overwhelming fame they experience in India.

On the work front, Anushka is will be seen next in Chakda Express and a movie made by Aditya Chopra. On the other hand, Virat is busy with the Indian Premiere League as his team RCB has won six out of nine matches.
