Team India Defeats England In Pune T20 By 15 Runs, Seals 5-Match Series 3-1

Suryakumar Yadav and men locked the 5-match series on Friday with a victory at Pune's Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. India bagged the series by 3-1 with 1 more game left to be played at Mumbai on Sunday.

It was an close encounter between India and England, which hosts won by 15 runs.

Batting first, India scored a total of 181, thanks to half-centuries from Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya. Despite early setbacks at 12/3 and then at 79/5, the duo's partnership steadied the innings.

Dube and Pandya's crucial sixth-wicket stand added an impressive 87 runs, helping India surpass the target of 175. Both players contributed significantly with scores of 53 each, ensuring a competitive total for their team.

England started their chase strongly with Ben Duckett and Phil Salt reaching 62/0 within six overs. However, Ravi Bishnoi's breakthrough dismissed Duckett, followed by Axar Patel removing Salt. Bishnoi continued his impact by taking out England's captain Jos Buttler, reducing them to 67/3.

A pivotal moment occurred when Harshit Rana was allowed to bowl as a concussion substitute for Shivam Dube after he suffered a head injury during India's innings' final over. Harshit made an immediate impact by taking three wickets for just 33 runs in his first over.
