Targeting Rohit Sharma And Virat Kohli Is Unfair: Yuvraj Singh
Yuvraj Singh has come to the defence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli after India's 1-3 loss to Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This defeat marked India's first series loss in a decade and their second consecutive series defeat in Test cricket. Both Rohit and Kohli struggled to find form throughout the series.
Despite scoring a century in Perth's second innings, Kohli managed only 190 runs across five matches. Rohit fared worse, accumulating just 31 runs in five innings. Fans and experts have been critical of their performances, but Yuvraj believes it's unfair to single them out for criticism after the team's loss.

Support from Yuvraj Singh
"We are talking about our greats, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, we are saying very bad things about them. People forget what they have achieved in the past. They are one of the greatest cricketers of this time. Okay, they lost, they did not play good cricket. They are getting hurt more than us," Yuvraj said while speaking to PTI.
Yuvraj also praised Rohit for his decision to drop himself from the final Test against Australia in Sydney. He described it as a selfless move, highlighting Rohit's commitment to putting the team before himself. "I think it is a big thing. I have never seen in the past that the captain's form is not going well and he himself has gone out. And this is Rohit Sharma's greatness that he has kept the team ahead of himself," Yuvraj added.
Future of Indian Cricket
Yuvraj expressed confidence in key figures like Gautam Gambhir as coach, Ajit Agarkar as selector, along with players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah. He believes these individuals possess some of the best minds in cricket today and will shape India's cricketing future effectively.
The recent series loss has sparked discussions about India's strategy moving forward. With experienced players like Rohit and Kohli facing challenges, there is a need for introspection within the team management to chart a path forward.
The focus now shifts towards rebuilding confidence and addressing areas where improvements are needed. The involvement of seasoned professionals like Gambhir and Agarkar could provide valuable insights into strengthening India's performance in upcoming matches.
