Star Cricketer's Daughter Passes Away; Team Mates Share Condolences

Afghanistan cricketer Karim Janat on Friday shared a piece of heartbreaking news about his teammate Hazratullah Zazai on Instagram. He informed that his teammate Hazratullah Zazai's daughter has left for heavenly abode.

"I am deeply saddened to share with you all that my close friend like brother, Hazratullah Zazai, has lost his daughter. My heart aches with sorrow for him and his family during this incredibly difficult time," Janat wrote.

Zazai's achievements extend beyond hitting sixes. He equalled Yuvraj Singh and Chris Gayle's record for the fastest fifty in T20 cricket, reaching the milestone in just 12 balls. This accomplishment further solidified his reputation as a dynamic player.

Throughout his career, Hazratullah Zazai has represented Afghanistan in 16 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 45 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). His contributions have been instrumental in Afghanistan's rise as a competitive cricketing nation.

The Afghanistan Premier League celebrated Zazai's extraordinary performance by sharing a video on their official Facebook page. The post highlighted his achievement of hitting six consecutive sixes, showcasing his talent to fans worldwide.

As Afghanistan continues to make strides in international cricket, players like Hazratullah Zazai play a crucial role in their success. Despite personal challenges, his dedication to the sport remains unwavering.

Record-Breaking Achievements

In 2018, Zazai made headlines by becoming the first Afghan cricketer to hit six sixes in an over. This remarkable feat was achieved during a match for Kabul Zwanan against Balkh Legends in the Afghanistan Premier League (APL). His explosive innings of 62 runs off just 14 balls included this incredible achievement.

Zazai's performance placed him alongside cricket legends like Sir Garfield Sobers and Yuvraj Singh, who have also hit six sixes in an over. His innings mirrored Yuvraj's iconic effort against England during the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, where Yuvraj reached a half-century off just 12 balls.

Despite Zazai's heroics, Kabul Zwanan fell short in their chase against Balkh Legends. Chris Gayle's powerful knock of 80 runs from 48 balls helped Balkh Legends set a daunting target of 244 runs. Kabul Zwanan managed to score only 223 for seven wickets in response.
