Sourav Ganguly's Big Statement Ahead of India vs Australia ICC U19 Cricket World Cup

A day ahead of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup finals between India and Australia, former Indian Captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, the man who taught Men in Blue a new and aggressive approach to take on the Opponent, shed his views on why India doesn't organize the world tournament comprising rising stars. This will be India's ninth appearance in the U19 World Cup finals, out of which, Indian young guns managed to clinch the trophy five times and will be eyeing the sixth U19 title.

The summit clash will be played at Benoni, South Africa.

Talking to the RevSportz, Sourav Ganguly said "There is no particular reason to it (India not hosting the U-19 World Cup). The other World Cups are played in India. What's wrong if this one is played in places where the senior World Cups don't take place that often? It's one way of taking the game to other countries."

"You can say it's a loss-making tournament. Most World Cups not featuring the senior men's teams are non-profit. But that's not the reason the U-19 World Cup hasn't been played in India. And I think it's going to be held in India," Ganguly added.

Team India defeated Australia in the 2012 and 2018 U19 World Cup finals, and now boys under the leadership of Uday Saharan will do their best to repeat history.

The U-19 World Cup gave many big names to India's national side including Mohammed Kaif, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
