Shubman Gill’s Love For Ahmedabad Continues: Another Century At Narendra Modi Stadium
Shubman Gill once again showcased his brilliance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, scoring a remarkable century in the third ODI against England on Wednesday. The young Indian batter reached his hundred in just 95 balls, marking his seventh century in the format and reinforcing his reputation as a dependable performer.
Gill started his innings confidently, rotating the strike and capitalising on poor deliveries. He built two key partnerships, first with Virat Kohli after Rohit Sharma's dismissal and then with Shreyas Iyer. As he approached his hundred, his scoring rate slowed, but he eventually reached the milestone in the 32nd over with a boundary off Liam Livingstone's bowling. His innings included 14 fours and 3 sixes before Adil Rashid dismissed him for 112 off 102 balls in the 35th over.

This is not the first time Gill has delivered an outstanding performance in Ahmedabad. The stadium has been a favourable venue for him in all formats. In 2023, he registered his highest T20I score of 126 not out against New Zealand at this ground. He also performed well in the IPL last year, accumulating 572 runs at this venue, including two centuries and three fifties.
