Sara Tendulkar, Sachin Tendulkar Meet Maheshwar Fabric Makers, Watch Video

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, his daughter Sara Tendulkar, and other family members visited Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh. Sachin Tendulkar shared a video of his visit on social media. Known for its cultural and spiritual significance, Maheshwar is a prominent tourist destination on the banks of the Narmada River.

During the visit, Tendulkar interacted with local fabric makers and posted a video on microblogging site X, showcasing Maheshwari sarees. The sarees, famous for their lightweight fabric and reversible borders, trace their origins to the reign of Ahilyabai Holkar.

He also highlighted the local cuisine, including poha with sev and jalebi, describing it as part of the region's culinary heritage.

Tendulkar's photos featured Ahilya Fort, a major landmark in Maheshwar, as well as scenic views of the Narmada River. The fort, built in the 18th century by Maharani Ahilya Holkar, is one of the town's most visited sites.

Maheshwar is home to numerous temples, including Kashi Vishveshwar, Rajrajeshwar, and Dwarkadish, along with popular spots like the Ahilya Ghat and Baneshwar Island Temple. Evening aartis and floating diyas on the Narmada remain the town's signature attractions.

In his post, Tendulkar described Maheshwar as "the heart of Incredible India," where culture, history, heritage, and hospitality come together.
