Sachin Tendulkar Plays With Locals In Gulmarg, Calls It "Cricket In Heaven"

Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar shared a video on social media, in which, he is playing gully cricket. Sachin, who is currently on a vacation in Jammu and Kashmir along with his wife Anjali Tendulkar and daughter Sara Tendulkar, was passing by a road of Gulmarg where he saw a few boys playing cricket. He immediately asked his driver to stop the car and joined the boys, who were super excited after finding their favorite among them.

The video shows Sachin asking the wicket-keeper to call their best bowler. ("Kaun Hai Tumhara Best Bowler")

The locals were happy that Cricket Great played with them. Sachin enjoyed it too and captioned the video "Cricket In Heaven" while posting it on micro-blogging site X, formerly known as Twitter.

The former cricketer also visited a bat manufacturing unit to check and buy some Kashmir willow bats. For the unvesed, Kashmir Willow is a special wood used to make cricket bats at a nominal cost. Many international and domestic cricketers used Kashmir willow bats during and at the start of their careers.

Diving into the past, Sachin said, "The first bat given to me was by my sister and it was a Kashmir willow bat. Now when I am in Kashmir, it is a must that I should meet the Kashmir willow and people who prepare the Kashmir willow bats." (Ab main yahan hoon to Kashmir willow ko to milna banta hai!)

A day ago, Tendulkar was greeted by the people on a flight with chants of "Sachin, Sachin". The legend thanked co-passengers for such a warm welcome by joining his hands. The emotions were clearly visible on Sachin's face at that heartwarming moment.
