Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs UP Warriorz (UPW) WPL 2024 Highlights
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday outclassed the UP Warriorz (UPW) in match number 11 of the Women's Premier League (WPL 2024). The Bangalore side won the match by 23 runs to earn 2 points against the UP side. With the third win at the tournament, RCB is currently at the thrid spot with 6 points in the bag, equal to the top two teams-Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.
However, RCB has a marginally low net run rate compared to top teams in the five-team tournament. The UP Warriorz is in fourth position with 4 points as it managed to win only 2 matches out of 5 games they have played.

In the RCB vs UPW match, skipper Smriti Mandhana (80) and number 3 batter Ellyse Perry (58) wreaked havoc opponent's bowling. Both the batters notched half-centuries and powered their side to pin a massive total of 198 runs after being invited to bat first by UP Captain Alyssa Healy.
However, Healy realised her mistake soon after RCB batters opened their arms and started hitting the ball hard. Smriti Mandhana took only 50 balls to score 80 runs studded with 10 rolling boundaries and 3 towering sixes.
Ellyse Perry's 58 came off 37 balls and had 4 boundaries and 4 massive sixes.
While, Sabbhineni Meghana and wicketkeeper Richa Gosh played cameo roles with 28 and 21 runs, respectively.
In reply, UP Captain too tried to match what RCB skipper did. Alyssa Healy scored 55 runs off 38 balls including 7 boundaries and 3 big hits. She batted with a strike rate of 144.
However, UP Warriorz middle order collapsed like a house of cards, while build pressure of skipper too, resulting in her wicket.
In the lower middle order, Deepti Sharma (33)and Poonam Khemnar (31) tried to steady the ship and achieve the total but failed short of 23 runs, resulting in another defeat of UP Warriorz.
