RCB Vs DC WPL 2024: Delhi Capitals Beat Royal Challengers Bangalore By 25 Runs At M Chinnaswamy Stadium

The Delhi Capitals on Thursday defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match 7 of the Women's Premier League (WPL 2024) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. DC won the match by 25 runs, putting Smriti Mandhana's 74 in vain. Thanks to Shafali Verma and Alice Capsey's powerful batting, the Delhi Capitals are now at the top of the points table dethroning the home side and handing them the first defeat of the season.

At the start, Smriti Mandhana won the toss and invited Delhi to bat first. Encashing the batters-friendly track, Shefali Verma (50), Alice Capsey (46), Marizanne Kapp (32), and Jonassen (36) showed really good hands and pinned a massive total of 194 runs on the scoreboard.

In reply, Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine gave an explosive start but the rest of the team failed to continue the momentum. Out of 11, 7 batters failed to touch the double figure.

Marizanne Kapp continued her good performance with the ball too as she picked up two wickets in her 4 overs. For her all-rounder performance, Kapp was named player of the match.
