RCB Pacer Yash Dayal Rape Case: Rajasthan High Court Denies Interim Bail To Royal Challegers Bengaluru Cricket

The Rajasthan High Court has denied Yash Dayal, a Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bowler, interim bail in a rape case involving a minor. The court highlighted the seriousness of the allegations and the victim's age as reasons for not granting temporary protection. Justice Sudesh Bansal, overseeing the case in Jaipur, has requested the case diary for further examination and scheduled the next hearing for August 22.

Dayal's legal representative, Kunal Jaiman, argued that the accusations are part of a campaign to tarnish Dayal's reputation. He pointed out that a similar complaint was previously filed in Ghaziabad but was stayed by the Allahabad High Court. "Just seven days after that, another FIR was registered in Jaipur. A gang seems to be involved in blackmailing by filing such cases," he told the court.

Serious Allegations Against Dayal

The Jaipur police have dismissed claims of conspiracy, asserting that the allegations are serious and based on facts. Anil Jaiman from Sanganer police station stated that the complainant first met Dayal at a cricket event. She later accused him of sexually assaulting her two years ago with promises of helping her cricket career.

According to the complaint, during IPL 2025, Dayal allegedly invited her to a hotel in Sitapura, Jaipur, where another assault occurred. Since she was 17 at the time of the initial incident, charges were filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and POCSO Act.

Previous Controversies

This is not Dayal's first brush with controversy. Two years ago, he faced accusations of sharing offensive communal content on Instagram. At that time, he explained that although posts appeared from his account, he did not personally upload them.
