RCB In IPL 2024: Sunil Gavaskar Critisizes Star Players, Says "Naam Bade Darshan Chote"
RCB In IPL 2024: Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) has been a heartbreaking edition for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans as the franchise lost 6 out of 7 matches including five consecutive defeats. In their last matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), RCB conceded the highest 287 runs score in the history of the tournament.
Reacting to the team's match-by-match deteriorating performance, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar shared his thoughts and criticised many star players who failed to impress with bat and ball this season.

Underlining RCB's decision to drop Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell, two big stars in every format of the game, Gavaskar said they failed to perform to the expectation. He said Glenn Maxwell, RCB's best pick and hard-hitter, has not been able to fire in the IPL 2024.
During a chat show on Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar said, "He has been unable to play fast bowling, period. Balls bouncing to his chest or shoulder height are troubling him. He can whack every ball below his waist height but not the ones above that."
"Naam Bade Par Darshan Chote," Gavaskar said in Hindi while analyzing all-rounder's recent performances.
He further said that he is not blaming Maxwell, but several other big-shots who have match-winning potential did not perform for RCB in IPL 2024.
Notably, Royal Challengers Bengaluru team management dropped Maxwell and Siraj in the last match against Hyderabad, after which, Maxwell announced to go on an indefinite break from IPL citing 'mental and physical space'.
RCB vs SRH:
Though, Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, but the team performed way much more compared to previous games. RCB scored more than 250 runs while chasing a mountain of runs. Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik's iconic innings were lauded by fans, however, the team fell 25 runs short of doing a miracle.
