RCB Defeats UPW WPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bangalore Wins In A Dramatic Way, Sobhana Asha Picks 5 Wickets
In another thrilling encounter of the Women's Premier League (WPL 2024), the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday defeated the UP Warriors by 2 runs. The match was full of drama as Sobhana Asha turned the tables for her side with a 5 wicket haul registering her name in the history of women's franchise cricket.

It was the 17th over of the second inning when Asha picked up three wickets to overturn things in RCB's favor.
At the start, UP Warriorz skipper Alyssa Healy won the toss and invited RCB to bat first. Richa Ghosh and Sabbhineni Meghana scored half-centuries to pin a target of 157 runs for six wickets.
Meghana (53, 44b) and Richa (62, 37b) added 71 runs for the fourth wicket in 50 balls as the Royal Challengers recovered from 54 for three in 7.5 overs.
Rajeshwari Gayakwad was the most successful bowler for UP Warriorz with 2/24.
In reply, the UPW faced an early setback as they lost skipper Alyssa Healy for only 5 runs.
Later, Dinesh Vrinda (18) and Tahlia McGrath (22) got starts, but could not go on to make big scores. Grace Harris (38, 23b) and Shweta Sehrawat (31, 25b) played useful cameos but they were not enough for UPW.
For her heroic bowling, Sobhana Asha (5/22) was named player of the match.
