Ravindra Jadeja's Father Alleges Family Feud, Cricketer Responds: What's The Truth?

Ravindra Jadeja addressed the allegations raised by his father, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, firmly refuting them on X. Captioning his post with "Let's ignore what's said in scripted interviews," Jadeja stated, "All the things said in the nonsense interview are meaningless and untrue."

He further emphasized that it was a one-sided story and outright denied the allegations. Expressing disdain for the attempts to tarnish his wife's image, he mentioned holding back from publicly addressing the matter despite having much to say.

Ravindra Jadeja and his wife Rivaba Jadeja

The allegations stemmed from an interview his father gave to the Gujarati daily Divya Bhaskar, where he claimed that Ravindra seldom contacted him. Anirudhsinh Jadeja disclosed, "I don't call Ravindra, and I don't need him. He is not my father; I am his father. He is the one who is supposed to call me. All of this makes me cry." He also revealed living alone in a 2 BHK flat in Jamnagar, away from his son, with a house-help managing his daily needs.

The familial discord originated from a disagreement over the ownership of Ravindra's restaurant shortly after his marriage. Anirudhsinh detailed how the dispute escalated due to Ravindra's wife, Rivaba, demanding ownership transfer to her name, resulting in a significant altercation. Amidst these personal issues, Ravindra missed the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam due to a hamstring injury.

As the Indian team aims to maintain their undefeated streak in home Test series, Jadeja's return to the squad is eagerly anticipated. Currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru under BCCI's medical team, Jadeja's participation in the upcoming matches, including the third Test in Rajkot against England, remains uncertain. With Virat Kohli's absence from the initial Tests, India's squad for the remaining matches is yet to be finalized.
