Ravindra Jadeja's recent move to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) has sparked intrigue, especially since he accepted a reduced salary. Former cricketer Aakash Chopra expressed surprise at this decision, considering Jadeja's long-standing association with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The trade-off involved Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran moving to RR, while CSK acquired Sanju Samson, a key player from RR, for Rs 18 crore.

"RR have got Ravindra Jadeja, but he has taken a pay cut," Chopra noted. "Why does someone take a pay cut? Maybe he was done with CSK."

Despite being retained by CSK for Rs 18 crore last year, Jadeja's fee was revised to Rs 14 crore upon joining RR. This reduction raised questions about what motivated him to accept less money. Chopra suggested that without a player's consent, such changes aren't possible, hinting at deeper reasons behind the move.
