The achievement sparked celebrations across the region, with Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announcing a ₹2 crore cash reward for the players. Abdullah shared the news on his official X account, calling the win a "watershed moment" for the state and its citizens.

"The players will also be entitled to government appointments under the recently notified rules for outstanding sportspersons," Abdullah added, highlighting the long-term benefits of their success.

Speaking from Hubballi, Abdullah praised the team's consistency throughout the five-day final. "They've done it. Well done, J&K. There hasn't been a single day in this final when the team has not dominated the opposition," he said.
