No Reserve Day For India vs England T20 World Cup Semi Final, What If Match Gets Washed Out Tonight

Tonight, in the second semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, hosted by the USA and West Indies, Team India will lock horns with England at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The winner of this match will compete with South Africa, the winner of the semi-final one, in the finals for the glittering trophy.

According to the weather monitoring and predicting website AccuWeather, there are strong chances of precipitation tonight and the match is most likely to be delayed or washed out. The rain and strong winds have been predicted for entire day, there are 66% chance of rain right before the start (at 7 pm IST) of the IND vs ENG match, which is more worrying for cricket lovers.

No Reserve Day For India vs England T20 World Cup Semi Final What If Match Gets Washed Out Tonight

Notably, there was a reserve day for the South Africa vs Afghanistan first semi-final match, but ICC has not kept any separate day for the India vs England match, in case tonight's game gets washed out.

Why There Is No Reserve Day For India vs England T20 World Semi-final:

ICC has not kept any reserve day for India vs England second semi-final and the reason behind that is the timing of both semi-finals which will be held on the same day. Afghanistan vs South Africa was a day-night game in Trinidad, which starts 8:30 pm on June 26 as per local time, and the India vs England semifinal in Guyana is a day affair slated for 10:30 am local time on June 27.

So, there's a difference of only one day (June 28), which has been marked as the travel day for both finalists. The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Final will be played on June 29, Saturday at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

What If the India vs England Match Gets Washed Out Tonight:

If the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final gets canceled tonight due to rain, then the team which has a better-run rate in the group stage will be promoted to the finals. This means Rohit Sharma and company will get the reward of being unbeaten throughout the tournament.

England lost one match in the Group B league stage match.
