According to Ranchi traffic officials, an e-challan was automatically raised under Section 183 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The smart monitoring system tracked the vehicle above the allowed speed limit and generated a digital notice. Officials explained that the property mentioned in the notice is on Harmu Road in Ranchi. Dhoni used to live at this address earlier, before shifting to the present home on Ring Road. The housing board has sought clarity on activities at the site and is reviewing whether the original terms were respected.
