Mohammed Siraj Is Always A Challenge For Batters: Ex-English Star Moeen Ali

Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali has heaped praise on Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, calling him a "genuine match-winner" and commending his fearless attitude and world-class consistency. Siraj played a key role in India's gritty 2-2 draw in the recently concluded five-Test series against England, emerging as the highest wicket-taker with 23 wickets.

"Siraj has been outstanding in the England series," Moeen said in a statement released by GFS Developments.
"The energy, aggression, and consistency he brings with the ball is world-class. He's matured into a genuine match-winner for India, and it's always a challenge for batsmen facing him."

India's tour of England was fiercely contested. After losing the first Test by 82 runs in Leeds, India bounced back with a 157-run win at Lord's and then suffered a defeat in Manchester. The final Test at The Oval saw India clinch a historic six-run win, their narrowest ever in Test history, to draw the series 2-2.

Siraj bowled 185.3 overs across the five Tests - the most by any Indian bowler in the series - showing remarkable stamina and commitment. His standout spell came in the final Test, where he took 5 for 104, including three wickets in just 25 balls on Day 5.

India's bowlers shared the load impressively throughout the series. While Siraj led with 23 wickets, Prasidh Krishna and Mukesh Kumar chipped in at crucial moments, helping India stay competitive despite the absence of senior players like Jasprit Bumrah.

Siraj's performance marks him as a future leader of India's pace attack on overseas tours.
