Maharaja Trophy Auction Live Streaming: Where To Watch KSCA T20 2025 Played At M. Chinnaswamy Stadium?
The much-awaited Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2025 is set to return for its fourth edition from August 11 to 27 at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, in a significant departure from tradition, this year's tournament will be held behind closed doors, with no fans in attendance.
The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) made the announcement ahead of the Maharaja Trophy Auction, scheduled for July 15, where teams will finalise their 16 to 18-member squads. The decision comes in the aftermath of the tragic RCB IPL 2025 title celebration stampede, which claimed 11 lives and left many injured outside the stadium.

Maharaja Trophy 2025 Teams and Key Player Retentions
The six franchises competing this season are:
- Mysore Warriors
- Bengaluru Blasters
- Hubli Tigers
- Gulbarga Mystics
- Shivamogga Lions
- Mangaluru Dragons
Mysore Warriors
The defending champions have retained Karun Nair, who led the tournament charts last year with 560 runs. Alongside him, S.U. Karthik, Prasidh Krishna, and C.A. Karthik form the team's core.
Bengaluru Blasters
Last season's runners-up have held on to experienced opener Mayank Agarwal, wicketkeeper Suraj Ahuja, and all-rounder Shubhang Hegde, who scored 201 runs and picked 14 wickets in 2024. Naveen MG also returns.
Hubli Tigers
Led by explosive keeper-batter K.L. Shrijith (349 runs in 2024), the Tigers have retained K.P. Karthikeya, Manvanth Kumar, and leg-spinner K.C. Cariappa.
Gulbarga Mystics
Skipper Vyshak Vijaykumar will lead a side featuring consistent performers R. Smaran and Luvnith Sisodia (combined 616 runs). Praveen Dubey adds experience.
Shivamogga Lions
Retentions include pacer Vasuki Koushik, keeper Nihal Ullal, spinner Hardik Raj, and all-rounder Avinash D, who will be key to the Lions' campaign.
Mangaluru Dragons
Left-arm pacer Abhilash Shetty leads the bowling attack, while Macneil Noronha, Paras Gurbax Arya, and Lochan Gowda bolster their batting and all-round options.
Closed-Door Format and Future Events
This year's closed-door format, though disappointing for fans, is a precautionary move as M. Chinnaswamy Stadium prepares to host four ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 matches later this year, including a semi-final in October.
To ensure smooth operations during the monsoon season, the stadium's advanced sub-air system will minimise delays due to rain, ensuring uninterrupted matches throughout the two-week schedule.
