The wicket-keeper batter's performance has not met expectations in the initial matches, and his leadership choices have also drawn criticism.

In the post-match conference, Rishabh Pant accepted that his team fell short by 20-25 runs against Punjab. "It's always going to be difficult to get a big total when you lose early wickets, but each and every player is trying hard to take the game forward."
