The BCCI has made it clear that "all athletes give precedence to participating in domestic cricket during periods when they are not representing the national team."

Answering the hot question, the BCCI said Hardik has been ruled out following a back injury and BCCI's medical team has advised him not to bowl for some time. The board added that Hardik Pandya also did not play domestic leagues when fit and not representing India, similar action will also be initiated against him as well.
