If speculations are to be believed, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma may drop KL Rahul for the upcoming test match slated to start on October 24 at Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium, Pune.
In the recent Bengaluru Test, KL Rahul scored 0 and 12 runs in two innings, at a crucial time when the team and fans were expecting runs from him. KL Rahul was among six Indian batters who went back to the pavilion in the first inning without scoring.

While in the second inning of the match, young Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant played splendid innings. Sarfaraz Khan scored a ton, while injured Rishabh Pant missed his century by a run.
It is now expected that Indian selectors may bet on Shubman Gill in the next match in place of KL Rahul.
