KKR leadership explains IPL jersey concept

Speaking about the new KKR IPL 2026 jersey, Venky Mysore, CEO of Knight Riders Sports, said the design reflects the spirit and history of Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. According to him, each line represents a key moment in KKR's IPL success, capturing the energy and passion that define the franchise.

Mysore added that KKR are proud of their achievements in the Indian Premier League and hope the new jersey will inspire the team to add more memorable chapters in IPL 2026.

KKR launch campaign goes viral before IPL 2026

To promote the KKR IPL jersey, the franchise launched a creative digital campaign titled "Kya Line Hai?" The promotional film featured actor Rajat Bedi and comedian Anirban Dasgupta, along with several popular content creators from Kolkata.

Knight Riders Sports Chief Marketing Officer Binda Dey said the campaign was designed to connect KKR fans with the team's IPL history in a fun and relatable way. The idea was to celebrate iconic IPL moments involving KKR while inviting supporters to become part of the team's ongoing story.

The social media build-up proved successful, with the hashtag #LinesOfLegacy trending across platforms for nearly 48 hours before the official unveiling of the KKR IPL 2026 jersey.

KKR legacy in the IPL and global leagues

Over the years, Kolkata Knight Riders have established themselves as one of the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League. KKR have reached the IPL final four times and lifted the IPL trophy three times-in 2012, 2014 and 2024.
