IPL 2025: Rahul Dravid In Talks With Royal Challengers Bengaluru And Rajasthan Royals For Mentor's Role
IPL 2025: After making India world champion in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024 held in the USA and West Indies, ex-India head coach and former cricketer Rahul Dravid is all set to begin a new inning on the field of cricket. If media reports are to be believed, Rahul Dravid is likely to join again a franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) as a coach or mentor. Sources reported that Rahul Dravid is in talks with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The official announcement will likely be made in the next 3 to 4 months.
Earlier, reports suggested that The Wall may join Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as the franchise is actively looking for a coach and mentor since Gautam Gambhir left the side to accept Team India's head coach's job. Under Gambhir's guidance, KKR won the IPL 2024 title defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finals.

On the condition of anonymity, a top BCCI official told the media that "talks are going on between Rahul Dravid and some IPL franchise for mentor and coach's job, and an announcement in this regard is round the corner".
A few days ago, Rahul Dravid, in a humours way, told a reporter that soon he would be open for work, and now, it looks like that the former cricketer has decided his next role.
It was also expected that Rahul Dravid may join back the BCCI's National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where he trains budding cricketers, but if he joins the IPL franchise, he can not hold two posts at the same time.
