IPL 2025: Ishan Kishan, Kavya Maran's AI Photos Standing Next To Hyderabad's Charminar Go Viral
Images of cricketer Ishan Kishan alongside business tycoon Kavya Maran, who owns the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad, in front of the historic Charminar have been circulating on social media. Contrary to the speculation swirling around these images, a thorough investigation reveals that they are not genuine. All the pictures in question have been confirmed to be the product of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
Upon closer examination, the authenticity of these images was put into question. Keyword searches aimed at uncovering any documented visit of the two individuals to the monument yielded no results.

Furthermore, a review of Kishan's social media profiles did not present the image in question. Suspicion grew when an anomaly was spotted in the construction of the Charminar in the image, suggesting it might have been digitally altered or entirely generated. This prompted a deeper investigation into the nature of these images using AI detection tools.

AI detection platforms Hive Moderation, Sightengine, and AI or Not were utilized to scrutinize the images. The outcome was striking, with both Hive Moderation and Sightengine AI or Not indicating a 99 percent certainty that the content was AI-generated. This revelation, supported by a Google reverse image search that unearthed similar AI-generated images, undermines the authenticity of the pictures circulating online.
In an effort to verify the second claim regarding the images of Kishan and Mandhana, similar investigative steps were taken. The initial examination involved a Google reverse image search, which failed to locate any credible sources backing the existence of such photos. Differences were noted upon comparing the women in the supposed images of Kishan and Mandhana, further raising doubts about their veracity. Subsequently, the images were subjected to analysis by the same AI-detection tools, which unanimously classified them as products of AI, reinforcing the initial suspicions regarding their authenticity.

The investigation extended to an image allegedly showing Kishan and Mandhana together in a swimming pool, which also claimed to be AI-generated. Notably, there have been no credible reports or confirmations of a marriage between Kishan and Mandhana, pointing towards the likelihood of misinformation. This case mirrors a similar instance where an AI-generated image of artist Dhanashree Verma and cricketer Shreyas Iyer was debunked, highlighting a growing trend of fabricated content.
