IPL 2024 Schedule: Indian Premier League Likely To Be Held In This Country

A wave of excitement surfaced among Indian cricket fans after the reports suggested that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to conduct the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) in India this time. The suspense has been looming over the venue for the much-awaited edition of the Indian Premier League as the dates of the Cash Rich League will clash with the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Every time, whenever the elections and cricket league take place at the same time, the cricket body conducts the franchise tournament overseas.

A BCCI source told ANI that the tournament will be held in India. "There is nothing like that, to shift the tournament outside the country, as the general election will also be at the same time. If any state doesn't want to host the match at that time, with any justified reason, the match could be shifted to another venue."

IPL 2024 Schedule

Both the big events, IPL and General Elections, need high-end security across the country, which might worry the authorities a bit.

However, if the government does not agree to provide security and other necessary facilities to conduct IPL 2024, then there is a possibility that IPL 2024 might shift to UAE.

A month ago, the BCCI organised a mini-auction for IPL 2024 in Dubai's Coca-Cola arena after which it was speculated that the board will organize the tournament in Dubai this time. Earlier in 2014, IPL was organized in three different stadiums of UAE's Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.

For the upcoming edition, the IPL franchises have already reshaped their squads and preparing to clinch the glittering winner's trophy.
