IPL 2024: Rishabh Pant Likely To Rejoin Delhi Capitals
IPL 2024: Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who narrowly escaped the deadly car accident in December 2022, is recovering fast and is likely to make a return to the cricket pitch this year, said Delhi Capital's top official PKSV Sagar. Rishabh Pant, who has been associated with Delhi Capitals since 2016, has notched 2838 runs in his 98 IPL appearances. The left-hander has 15 fifties and a ton to his name with a strike rate over 147.
"Yes, we are hoping for the best we can expect that he will play this season. He is the biggest player.....if he plays then it will be good for us. Our coaches and physio are doing work on him and the best part is this he is recovering very well. We hope by March he will fit and play for us," Sagar told ANI in ILT20.

Since his accident, Rishabh Pant returned to the field in November when he was spotted in Delhi Capitals' nets along with Sourav Ganguly, Ricky Ponting, Pravin Amre, and other coaching staff.
For the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), the Delhi side roped in Australian pinch-hitter Harry Brook for Rs 4 crores, speedster Jhye Richardson for Rs 5 crores, Carrebian wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope for Rs 75 lakh, and uncapped youngster Kumar Kushagra for Rs 7.2 crore in last month's mini-auction that happened at Dubai's Coca-Cola arena.
"Yes we do work on that we want Harry Brooke to come and play for us in the middle order and we made our team strong by adding Kushagra," Sagar said.
