IPL 2024: Hardik Pandya Says He Doesn't "Believe In 50s Or 100s"

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who was away from cricket following an ankle injury, has now recovered and is all set to return to the field with the much-awaited Indian Premier League aka IPL 2024. This season, Hardik Pandya will don Mumbai Indian's Blue jersey again as MI owners have bought him in a whopping Rs 15 crore trade from Gujarat Titans, where he proved his metal as a captain and lifted the trophy in the 2023 edition.

Hardik Pandya will replace Rohit Sharma, a five-times captain for Mumbai Indians, this time.

But ahead of the start of India's cash-rich league, Hardik Pandya made headlines after he gave an unexpected reply while answering a question during Star Sports Show, Star Nahi Far, where the crowd took part in a quiz.

When asked how many centuries or half-centuries will he score in IPL 2024, someone from the crowd shouted, "10".

Replying to the answer, Hardik said, "I have that many? Wow."

After this, another person mentioned Hardik's 21-ball 60-run inning in IPL 2020 against Rajasthan Royals. However, Hardik rejected it saying: "We lost that too. I don't believe in 50s or 100s. Stats are just numbers; it's a waste of time."
