IPL 2024 Finals: Kolkata Knight Riders Wins 3rd IPL Trophy, Crushes Sunrisers Hyderabad By 8 Wickets
IPL 2024 Finals: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday, May 26, added the third IPL trophy to their kitty after crushing Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.
It was a one-sided match as KKR bowlers bundled out Pat Cummin's SRH for a low total of 114 runs. Andre Russlle picked up 3 wickets, Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana knocked 2-2 wickets.

Varun Chakravarty, Sunil Narine, and Vaibhav Arora also bagged 1 wicket each.
As wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, Hyderabad never had an upper hand in the game.
During the chase, Venkatesh Iyer scored an unbeaten blitzkrieg 52 off 26 balls.
Undoubtedly, former India cricketer and KKR captain Gautam Gambhir's guidance helped young captain Shreyas Iyer and team Kolkata to play good quality cricket throughout the season. He showed trust in players, gave them enough opportunities to perform, and backed them to play cricket freely without any pressure.
The wholesomeness of the moment had reduced all-rounder Andre Russel to tears. In a conversation with commentators, Russell said, "No words to describe. It means so much. I am happy that all of us were very disciplined and worked towards one goal."
"This franchise has done a lot for me. It's a big gift from all of us to them," he said.
Along with a glittering trophy, KKR will get a hefty cash prize of Rs 20 Crore, while the runners-up SRH secure a commendable RS 13 crore prize.
Earlier, team Kolkata won the IPL trophy in 2014 and 2012.
