India vs England: Jasprit Bumrah To Miss Ranchi Test

As per Team India's workload management rotation policy, speedster Jasprit Bumrah will be rested for the Ranchi test. According to the reports, the BCCI has given a nod to the pacer to take a break as he has already bowled more than 80 overs in the series against England, so far. Bumrah will the fifth and final test at Dharamshala or not this will be decided later, but for now, it is confirmed he won't be traveling with the team to Ranchi.

However, the BCCI has not announced any replacement for Bumrah yet and it is expected that Bengal seemer Akash Deep, who earned his maiden call a few weeks ago, may get a chance to play. The reports added that pacer Mukesh Kumar, who was released from the national side to participate for Bengal in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, is also likely to be called back.

Chances for youngsters to get a chance have been exceeded as head coach Rahul Dravid and skipper Rohit Sharma may test their bench strength.

So far, in the five-match series. India is ahead with a 2-1 lead against England.

The Ranchi Test is slated for February 23 to 28, where England would eye to bounce back and level the scores. If visitors managed to win the Ranchi test then the India vs England series will be poised more as the last game at Dharmshala, where Virat Kohli is likely to make a comeback, is going to be the series decider.
