India Tour Of England 2025: Sony Sports To Broadcast Test Series Live In Four Languages
Sony Sports Network has officially announced its comprehensive live coverage of the much-anticipated India tour of England, which is set to begin on June 20, 2025. The five-Test match series will be played at iconic English venues - Headingley, Edgbaston, Lord's, Old Trafford, and The Oval - and will be broadcast live across Sony Sports Network's channels. The live coverage will be available in four languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, providing fans across India with expert analysis and commentary in their preferred language.
Viewers can tune into the matches live on Sony Sports Ten 5 and Sony Sports Ten 1 for English coverage, Sony Sports Ten 3 for Hindi, and Sony Sports Ten 4 for Tamil and Telugu.

According to Mint Sony Pictures Networks India's Chief Revenue Officer - Distribution & International Business and Head - Sports Business, Rajesh Kaul, highlighted the significance of the tour, noting that while India has recently performed strongly in limited-overs formats, Test cricket in England presents a different kind of challenge. He said Sony Sports aims to unite the nation in support of this new-look Indian Test side, which is being led by Shubman Gill.
Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar emphasized the historical importance of India touring England and expressed excitement over the young leadership and fresh talent in the squad. "With a new captain and rising stars, the buzz around this series is massive. Fans are eager to witness this team rise to the challenge and establish a new legacy," Gavaskar said. He also lauded the campaign tagline: "Ground Tumhara, Jeet Hamari", stating it reflects India's intent to dominate the series with discipline, self-belief, and unity.
Broadcast & Streaming Rights: Sony & JioStar Partnership
Sony Pictures Networks India and JioStar have entered into a landmark agreement for India's tours of England in 2025 and 2026. According to the deal announced on Monday, Sony will retain television broadcasting rights for the two-year period, while JioStar, via JioHotstar, will exclusively live-stream all formats - Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.
This collaboration enables Sony Entertainment Television to continue showcasing England series on TV, while JioHotstar will cater to digital audiences, offering live streaming with interactive and immersive features. The first Test match of the 2025 series will be live-streamed from June 20.
Sanjog Gupta, CEO - Sports and Live Experiences at JioStar, hailed the agreement as a win for fans, describing it as a combination of wide-reaching broadcast and deep digital penetration. "We aim to provide a seamless and enriched experience for viewers with intuitive features and compelling storytelling," he added.
Sony Pictures Networks India's MD and CEO, Gaurav Banerjee, also expressed enthusiasm over the collaboration. "This groundbreaking partnership will elevate the cricket-watching experience for Indian fans, combining Sony's broadcast strength with JioStar's digital innovation," he said. Sony secured the exclusive India rights to England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) properties in 2023 under an eight-year deal that runs until 2031.
