Former India Fast Bowler Venkatesh Prasad Elected As New Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) President

A new chapter has begun for Karnataka cricket as former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad has been elected as the new president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) following the elections held on Sunday, December 7.

Heading the Team Game Changers panel, Prasad emerged victorious in a closely watched contest, overcoming KN Shanth Kumar, who represented the rival group backed by Brijesh Patel. The result marks a significant leadership shift in one of India's most influential state cricket bodies.

Prasad's victory was further strengthened by the success of his teammates in other key positions. Santosh Menon secured the post of secretary, while Sujith Somasundar was elected vice-president, completing a strong leadership lineup that is expected to bring fresh ideas and renewed focus to cricket administration in Karnataka.

With a former international cricketer now at the helm, the KSCA is set for a phase of change, as the cricketing community looks ahead with optimism.
