Delhi Capitals To Retain Rishabh Pant For IPL 2025: Report
It looks like Rishabh Pant's heroic comeback to team India and the way he played in IPL 2024 after a two-year break is going to pay the young cricketer in the long run. According to the reports, the Delhi Capitals is likely to retain its skipper and wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant ahead of the much-anticipated edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025).
This time a mega auction will be held for IPL 2025 and big names including Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, RCB captain Faf du Plessis, Glen Maxwell, and others are most likely to be traded for hefty amounts.

A source on the condition of anonymity said that Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that Rishabh Pant will be retained by Delhi Capitals for IPL 2025. However, no decision has been made on the head coach's position yet.
Last month, Delhi Capitals announced parting ways with head coach Ricky Ponting after the franchise team failed to qualify for the playoffs. Despite the fact that Delhi Capitals evolved under Ricky Ponting's guidance in his seven-year stint, franchise bosses took the harsh call of his sacking.
In 2020, the Delhi Capitals missed the glittering trophy by inches as they lost in the finals.
It was also learned that Delhi Capitals want an Indian head coach to mentor the team.
"What you'll find is that they'll probably end up with an Indian-based head coach. Certainly, that's some of the dialogue that I've had with them anyway," Ponting said.
