David Warner's Baggy Green Stolen, Appeals To People To Help Him Ahead Of Farewell

Australian cricketer David Warner who will bid adieu to international cricket after the Sydney Test is heartbroken right now. On Tuesday, David Warner took to Instagram to inform that his Baggy Green had been lost or stolen during transit. For the unversed, Baggy Green is a green color cap that a cricketer gets on his Test debut for Australia.

For every cricketer, the debut cap has a special place as it has an emotional connection, and is the fruit of they their struggle and hard work done for years. Making an emotional appeal to return the cap, the 37-year-old cricketer said his Baggy Green has been stolen from his backpack which was kept inside a big bag that was transported from Melbourne to Sydney on December 31 with the rest of the team's luggage.

Warner also offered a spare backpack in exchange for his baggy green and promised not to disclose the identity of the person returning it.

"Inside this backpack was my Baggy Green. It's sentimental to me. It's something I'd love to have in my hands walking out there this week. If it's the backpack you really wanted, I have a spare one here. You won't get into trouble. Please reach out to Cricket Australia or myself via my social media. I'm happy to give this to you if you return my Baggy Green," David Warner said in his video message shared on Instagram.

Warner also asked people to help him find his emotionally valuable goodie.

Warner added "We've gone through CCTV footage, they've got some blind spots apparently. We've spoken to the Quay West hotel who we absolutely trust, they've gone through their cameras and no one has gone into our rooms," he added.

The left-handed explosive batsman has represented Australia in 111 Tests and the Sydney match will be his farewell game.
