Cricketer Rinku Singh Engaged To This Samajwadi Party MP? Internet Abuzz With Rumours
Social media is buzzing with rumours of star cricketer Rinku Singh's engagement to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj.
Now, Priya Saroj's father has come out and refuted claims of Rinku being engaged to his daughter.

However, he did confirm that Rinku's family has sent a marriage proposal, which the family is seriously considering.
According to a report by ABP Live, Priya's father, Tufani Saroj, revealed that Rinku's family discussed the proposal with his elder son-in-law, who is currently serving as a Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) in Aligarh.
Neither Rinku nor Priya have officially commented on the matter so far.
Rinku, who is a regular member of India's T20I setup and part of the reserve squad led by Rohit Sharma that won the World Cup last year, is set to return to action in the upcoming five-match T20I series against England, beginning next week.
The 27-year-old has represented India in two ODIs and 30 T20Is since making his international debut in August 2023, scoring a total of 562 runs across formats.
Known for his finishing ability, Rinku also plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, where he helped the team clinch the title last season.
Priya Saroj, meanwhile, is a first-time MP representing Uttar Pradesh's Machhlishahr constituency. She defeated BJP's BP Saroj by over 35,000 votes in the last elections.
Priya comes from a political family; her father, Tufani Saroj, is a three-time MP and currently serves as an MLA from Kerakat. However, politics was not her initial career aspiration.
"Though my father is a seasoned politician and has won Lok Sabha polls consistently between 1999 and 2014, I never thought of becoming a politician while growing up. After graduating in law, I started preparing for judgeship exams during the Covid-19 pandemic. Even when my ticket was announced, I was taking online classes for the exams," Saroj told The Indian Express in an interview.
